Dear friend,
There's something very exciting happening in the Buffalo Grove Jewish community, and we would like to provide you the opportunity to become involved.  It's called BAY Shul which stands for
Bais Ahavas Yisroel - House (that promotes) love of your fellow Jews.  Bais Ahavas Yisroel is an Orthodox synagogue that promises to be a new beginning for some and a recommitment for others.  At BAY Shul, you will find a warm, friendly synagogue that provides unique insight into Judaism and the world today.  How can one institution offer so much for so many?  The answer is simple…BAY Shul literally has something for everyone, no matter what your Jewish identity, level of observance or understanding of religious concepts.  Our goal is to provide a growth environment, with a strong emphasis on family and social programming.
BAY Shul is located at 314 N. McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089. Enter by Baird and Warner, proceed upstairs, and follow the hallway to the right.

Mishan Berurah is a book written by the Chofetz Chaim and is a commentary and detailed explanation of the Code of Jewish Law-topics of daily living (prayer, brachos, Shabbos, holidays, tefillin, Shema, and more).  The word Chabura is like the words chaver-friend and chevra-group of friends, meaning the group of those studying Mishna Berurah. We have started the first volume on the topic of Shmone Esrei-the silent amida. Some texts are available. No prior knowledge of the subject is required.  All are welcome.
